TOOLS on the LLR&N are a mixture of conventional stuff and some local tweaks.

I use Acrylic paints almost exclusively (with the exception of spray cans) and always had splatters, clogged tips etc until I started to use the Badger 155 Anthem and Liquitex Medium as a thinner instead of all the other choices.

The Anthem is specially made for acrylics, has only one tip choice and is extremely easy to clean.

The tall bottles are readily available as Spice containers, they allow you to mix up your colour choice and save a reasonable amount of it for future projects because they come with a plastic lid under the main cap that seals perfectly in combination with a square of Saranwrap.

The Liquitex Air Brush Medium (Golden also makes one) is available in any Art Store for about $10.95 per 237 ml bottle. Michaels sells this stuff too but at their usual 100% premium.

The Acrylic paints in the photo work well although they are thickish requiring more medium/thinner tham many others, I have used the cheapest craft paints thinned with this medium with good results. The trick here seems to be that while your are reducing the viscosity of the paint you are not diluting the component in the paint that provides adhesion as you may be doing when using other liquids as thinners.
